Bol-anon tourist dies from Box Jellyfish Sting in Santa Fe, Cebu

A tourist from Bohol died on Sunday after being stung by a box jellyfish in the waters off Santa Fe, Cebu.

Leslie Madronero, 32, was swimming in the ocean when he was stung on the arm by the jellyfish. The sting caused his arm to itch and he began to have trouble breathing. He was rushed to the hospital, but died on arrival.

Box jellyfish are some of the most venomous creatures in the world. Their stings can cause severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and difficulty breathing. In some cases, they can even be fatal.

The mayor of Santa Fe has released a statement urging people to be careful when swimming in the ocean.

The mayor said that people should be aware of the dangers of box jellyfish and take precautions to avoid being stung.
