A high-value drug target (HVT) was arrested by operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Drug Enforcement Team (CDTE) last night, June 28, 2023, in Barangay Bool.
The suspect, identified as Ritchie Lopoy y Daal, 35, of Barangay Mayacabac, Dauis, was caught in a buy-bust operation.
Confiscated from Lopoy were various 43-volt packs of suspected shabu weighing 200 grams with a market value of more than PHP1.3 million.
Lopoy is facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The CDTE is still conducting further investigation to determine the source of the shabu and Lopoy’s possible co-conspirators.
