City Police Seize 200 Gramsof Shabu Worth P1.3 Million

In a major drug bust on June 28, 2023, operatives of the
Tagbilaran City Police Drug Enforcement Team (CDTE)
arrested a high-value drug target (HVT) and seized 200
grams of shabu worth P1.3 million.
The suspect, identified as Ritchie Lopoy y Daal, 35, of
Barangay Mayacabac, Dauis, was caught in a buy-bust
operation in Barangay Bool.
Lopoy was nabbed after he sold shabu to an undercover
police officer.
Upon his arrest, police recovered from his possession
11 packs of shabu, which weighed 200 grams and had a
street value of P1.3 million.
Lopoy is facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11
of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous
Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently detained at the
Tagbilaran City Police Station.
The CDTE is still conducting further investigation to
determine the source of the shabu and Lopoy’s possible
co-conspirators.

This latest drug bust is a major blow to the illegal drug
trade in Tagbilaran City.
It is also a testament to the commitment of the CDTE to
rid the city of illegal drugs.
The CDTE is urging the public to continue to provide
information on the illegal drug trade.
