Kapunungan sa Mang-Asinay sa Alburquerque
(KASAMA) of Bohol president Felix Pinlac (holding
microphone) explains the making of “asin tibuok”
to Cong. Edgar Chatto, Engr. Albert Uy and other
guests. This was done during the first anniversary
of the establishment of the cooperative’s Salt
Workshop in Puntod Area, barangay Sta.
Filomena, Alburquerque on June 27, 2023. The
registered cooperative became a recipient of the
Endangered Material Knowledge Program (EMKP)
grant from the British Museum in London. This was
made possible with the aid of Andrea Yankowski –
an American Researcher and Anthropologist, the
National Museum Bohol, and the Central Visayas
Association of Museums. This grant focused on
the financing and the creation of a Salt Workshop
in the traditional method of producing “Asin

Tibuok” that is known not only for its being
artisanal but also for its health values. Contributed
