Tagbilaran City celebrates 57th Charter Day

Tagbilaran City celebrated its 57th Charter Day on July
1, 2023, with a series of events that highlighted the city’s
progress and achievements over the past year.
The celebration kicked off with a Thanksgiving Mass at
St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral-Shrine at 10:00 AM.
This was followed by a Regular Session of the 15th
Sangguniang Panlungsod at the City Hall Atrium at
5PM.
The highlight of the celebration was the State of the City
Address by Mayor Jane Censoria C. Yap at 6PM.
The State of the City Address was followed by a Charter
Day Anniversary Program, which featured video
messages from Congressman Edgardo M. Chatto, Vice-
Governor Dionisio Victor A. Balite, and Governor Erico
Aristotle C. Aumentado. There was also an awarding
ceremony to recognize individuals and organizations
who have made significant contributions to the city.
The celebration concluded with closing remarks by Ms.
Cathelyn O. Torremocha, OIC of the City Administrator’s
Office.
In her address, Mayor Yap discussed the city’s progress
and achievements over the past year, as well as her
plans for the future.
The State of the City Address was an important event
for the Tagbilaran’s Charter Day, as it gives Mayor Yap
an opportunity to report to the public on the city’s

progress and to outline her plans for the next two years
and beyond.
