Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto (in photo)
congratulates the 255 graduates of 2023, batch 14 of
Bohol Island State University Balilihan Campus! Mayor
Chatto addressed the graduates and said: “The past 4
years were moments of struggle, hardwork, and
sacrifices. You endured them all and with pride, great joy
and gratitude, you made it! Praise God!

Indeed today, there are many reasons to celebrate for
this life achievement you all dreamed of which must
have remained a dream to many. Perhaps, as you gaze
intently at your diploma, you also begin to realize that
there is much to face in this new chapter of this long
journey called life – the future! The future is uncertain.
No one knows what tomorrow brings. Failing is a
guarantee. But fear not! Failing is part of the process of

becoming better and best as you strive to get back after
a fall. BISU has fledged you not only with quality
education but also with character, attitude, resilience,
perseverance to fly, to soar independently against the
winds! The future may be uncertain. But with certainty,
do what you have to do to realize the kind of future you
dreamed of, you thought of. You may not be able to
reach the pinnacle of your dream, but when you do
things with joy in your heart, no effort is ever wasted.
Then consider yourself victorious and dreams realized.
After all, life is a continuous search of happiness
however we define it. A dream, a thought, a reality!
Congratulations and Godspeed!” Contributed photo
