A young man was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Dauis Police in Brgy. Totolan, Dauis recently.
The suspect, identified as Robert Climaco y’ Albani, admitted to taking shabu, but denied that he was selling illegal drugs.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Dauis Municipal Drugs Enforcement Team led by Police Lt. Thomas Zen Cheung. The operation was witnessed by Barangay Officials and members of the media.
A bottle of suspected shabu weighing up to 1 gram with a standard drug price of P6,800 was recovered from the suspect.
Climaco is currently detained in the Dauis PNP cell and the case is being prepared to be filed against him.
In a statement, Chief of Police Cheung said that the operation was part of the Dauis Police’s ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. He urged the public to continue providing information to the police about drug activities in their communities.
