Bohol Representative Edgar M. Chatto has commended the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Bohol on the launch of the Program of Special Science School System (SSSS) Turn-over of Android Tablets.
The program aims to harmonize the implementation of a Special Science Program in at least one elementary and one secondary school in every district of the province from Grades One to Three and Grade Seven in the coming School Year 2023-2024. This is supported by the provision of tablets through the Special Education Fund.
“I congratulate DepEd Bohol on the launch of this important program. This is a major step towards ensuring that all our children in Bohol have access to quality science education,” said Chatto. “The provision of tablets will help to level the playing field for our students, regardless of their background. I am confident that this program will help to produce the next generation of scientists and innovators from Bohol.”
The SSSS program is a joint initiative of DepEd Bohol, the Provincial Government of Bohol, nĵìand Congress. It is supported by a budget of PHP 10 million from the Special Education Fund. The tablets that will be turned over to the participating schools are equipped with educational apps and materials that will help students learn science in a fun and interactive way.
