Classical mythology will say that Cupid is the son of Venus,
the goddess of Love. In Latin, Cupid is called Amor; and in
Greek he is popularly named Eros. Cupid is usually shown
as a winged child who carries along a bow, arrow and
quiver. If you are hit by his arrow, you will be in love.
So, as Cupid will shoot an arrow through one’s heart, love
will travel speedily and smoothly. This was what Cupid did
to Mike Angelo and Mariel Venus.
Mike Angelo and Mariel Venus both met for the first time
on December 22, 2019. The meeting took place during a
Christmas Party attended by the Kamikazee Racing Team
with Mike Angelo as one of its members. Mariel Venus
was in this party, too, as she was brought by her cousin
who is also a member of the group.
Things continued to happen without any hasstle at all. In
October of this 2022, Mike Angelo started to court Mariel
Venus. He became her boyfriend in December 18 of the
said year. He proposed to marry her on January 25, 2023.
They walked down the aisle on June 8, 2023 in the
beautiful Saint Augustine Church at Panglao Island.
Immediately after the church rites, the wedding banquet
took place at Casi Verde, Panglao.
Our groom is Mike Angelo Dimalig Bautista, 24 years old,
from Looc, Panglao, Bohol. He is the 6th among 9 siblings
and he is currently a chef at Be Grand Resort-Bohol.
Our bride is Mariel Venus Estoque Bantigue, 26 years old
from Tangnan. Panglao, Bohol. She is the youngest among
3 siblings and she works at the local government unit of
Panglao.
