Batuan mayor Antonino Jumawid (inset, upper right corner) announces the blessing and
turnover ceremony for the town’s new legislative office on July 10, 2023. This new edifice
houses the following: session hall, offices of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members, office of
the vice mayor, and office of the SB secretary with a mini library. During the turnover ceremony,
Mayor Jumawid thanked the initiative and help of Senator Sonny Angara and Cong. Alexie Tutor
including the assistance extended by the local officials. The mayor also specially thanked the
Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) team headed by Kit Endres and the Municipal Planning and
