Balilihan, Bohol – The Balilihan Police is investigating an incident of indecent display during a disco organized by PYM Balilihan.
According to a press release from the Balilihan Police, the incident occurred on July 17, 2023. A video of the incident was circulated on social media, which showed several people engaging in inappropriate behavior.
The Balilihan Police immediately launched an investigation into the matter. They identified one of the involved persons as a minor, a resident of Balilihan. They have also identified the mother of the minor.
On July 18, 2023, the Balilihan Police went to the Cyber Crime Office in Tagbilaran City to identify the other persons involved in the incident.
The Balilihan Police is taking the matter seriously and is committed to bringing those responsible to justice.
Mayor Calls for Investigation
Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso Chatto called for an investigation into the incident. She said that she was “deeply disturbed” by the video and that she wanted to ensure that the perpetrators were brought to justice.
“This is a serious matter and it will not be tolerated,” Chatto said. “I want to assure the public that we are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this and to hold those responsible accountable.”
