Jagna Mayor Joseph Rañola (inset, upper left corner) announced that on July 26, 2023, the
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the office of Sen. Joel Villanueva and
Congresswoman Kristine Alexie Besas-Tutor, conducted the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating
Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers Program (TUPAD) payout for the PWD Associations of Jagna on
July 24, 2023. The event which was held at the Jagna Business Center Atrium, had 9 PWD
associations registered with DOLE, which are the beneficiaries of the said program. The associations
from Alejawan, Boctol, Cabungaan, Calabacita, Cambugason, Faraon, Malbog, Mayana, and Naatang
received P4,350 each as part of the grant. This fund will serve as a counterpart fund to start their
livelihood programs. During the event, DOLE Chief, Maria Eloida Cantona, delivered a message to
the beneficiaries, emphasizing the importance of sustaining the grant to become eligible for livelihood
enhancement assistance in the future. Meanwhile, Mr. Bayani Tutor, the representative of Cong.
Alexie Tutor, also offered words of encouragement to the beneficiaries, urging them to remain united
in achieving their goals. The success of this initiative was made possible through the coordination and
support of Mayor Joseph Rañola, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare
