BACK-TO-BACK AWARDS FOR LGU-LOON. Loon Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (inset,
upper left corner) revealed that the Local Government Unit of Loon recently received two (2)
prestigious awards given on separate occasions. Upper picture shows Loon Vice Mayor Lloyd
Peter M. Lopez, MD (extreme left, representing Mayor Relampagos) holding the award given by
the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking 7 – Violence Against Women and their Children
(IACAT-VAWC) Region VII for achieving the status of Ideal Functionality of its Local Committee
Against Trafficking–Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) for FY 2022. The
award was presented on July 31, 2023 in Cebu City during the Regional Celebration of the
World Day Against Trafficking (WDAT). Also in lower photo, Vice Mayor Lopez (center, third
from right), on behalf of Mayor Relampagos, receives the award from the DSWD National
Capital Region on August 1, 2023 for the staunch support, sustainability and continuance of the
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the municipality of Loon. Accordingly, the LGU of
Loon is the only one in the entire province of Bohol, and one of two LGUs in Region 7, which
