Tubigon Mayor William Jao (inset, upper left corner) has announced that Tubigon’s Municipal
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) members underwent a 4-day
Contingency Planning Workshop at Iya’s Cafe inside the Tubigon Commercial Complex from
August 8-11, 2023. The mayor said that in the face of increasing natural disasters and everyday
risks, the importance of being prepared for crisis situations has become more important than
ever before. This contingency planning training course, the mayor added, is for participants to
learn the critical skills required to manage a crisis situation effectively. Moreover, the mayor
said, that the course, facilitated by the Office of Civil Defense- Central Visayas, is designed to
give participants a comprehensive understanding of disaster preparedness, risk identification,
