The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Governor Aris Aumentado, joined the Tingog Partylist representatives in the opening of the Alagang Tingog Center on August 11, 2023, at Unit 5, Emerald Square, Tagbilaran City.
The Alagang Tingog Center is a one-stop shop that offers various social and health services to the residents of Bohol, such as medical assistance, livelihood programs, scholarships, and legal aid. The center also serves as a venue for consultations and dialogues with the Tingog Partylist lawmakers and local officials.
Among the Tingog Partylist representatives who attended the event were Congresswoman Yedda Romualdez, Congressman Jude Acidre, and Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap. They expressed their commitment to work hand in hand with the PGBh in addressing the needs and concerns of the Boholanos.
Gov. Aumentado thanked the Tingog Partylist for their continuous support and assured future partnerships with Mayor Yap in the service for Boholanos. He said that PGBh supports programs, especially from the national agencies, that aim to deliver inclusive, accessible social and health services and create resilient communities in the UNESCO Global Geopark Regenerative Island Province.
The opening of the Alagang Tingog Center was also witnessed by other PGBh officials, barangay leaders, civil society organizations, and beneficiaries of the Tingog Partylist programs.
The event was followed by a distribution of relief goods and medical supplies to the affected families of the recent typhoon.
