of Loon sponsored a Holy Mass at the municipal hall lobby in honor of the town’s patroness, the Our
Lady of Light (Birhen sa Kasilak). This was during the time when the image of the Birhen Sa Kasilak
was brought for a visit to the Loon Municipal Hall on August 7, 2023. The visit was part of the
preparations for the start of the nine-day novena of the municipality’s SidlaKasilak 2023 – an annual
fiesta celebration to be held on September 7-8, 2023. Attended by LGU-Loon’s municipal officials and
employees, the Holy Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Sabino Rebosura, resident parish priest of the
