Tubigon Mayor William Jao (inset, upper left corner) bares that on Aug. 17, 2023, personnel from the
Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tubigon under the Municipal Agriculture Office continued to conduct
the Rabies Awareness campaign program. The mayor said that the past week, the campaign was
done in the barangays of Buenos Aires, Cawayanan, Libertad and Tan-awan in the town of Tubigon.
The mayor adds that, through the campaign, the people of Tubigon are being reminded of the bad
effects rabies of pet animals could cause on human beings. The campaign also included prevention of
rabies. During the campaign period, LGU-Tubigon also informed the residents that if anyone gets
bitten by a dog, anti-rabies vaccines are available at the town’s Rural Health Unit 1 (RHU1), at
