NOW SHOWING
“Gran Turismo” at
Screenville Cinemas

A biographical sports drama thriller based on the racing simulation
video game series of the same title, “Gran Turismo” is now showing at
Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Based on the unbelievable, inspiring true story of a team of
underdogs, where a struggling, working-class gamer, a failed former
race car driver, and an idealistic motorsport exec risks it all to take on
the most elite sport in the world.
The film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran
Turismo player, Jann Mardenborough, a Gran Turismo player whose
gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual
professional racecar driver.
Jann is a video gamer who became so good at simulated race car
driving on the titular PlayStation game that he actually made the leap to
becoming a professional race car driver, reportedly driving in more than 200
races and managing to hold his own against drivers who had been behind
the wheel their entire lives.

COMING SOON
“The Equalizer 3” at
Screenville Cinemas

Two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington is back reprising
his iconic role as a vigilante to take on the dreaded Sicilian mafia in the third
and final installment of the trilogy, “The Equalizer 3”, which will premiere
worldwide on September 13, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and
Alturas Mall.
After dealing out his own brand of justice in the first
two “Equalizer” movies, retired US marine and former CIA agent Robert
McCall (Washington) is looking for a peaceful life to live. Since giving up his
profession as a government assassin, McCall has struggled to reconcile the
horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving
justice on behalf of the oppressed.
When he moves to Italy to escape from his past, he later discovers
that his new friends are under the control of the local crime bosses of the
notorious Sicilian mafia. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to
do — unleashes his past self to protect his new friends. Together with a low-
level CIA agent Emma Collins (Dakota Fanning-“War of the Worlds”), he
goes out all guns blazing by taking on the mafia.
