The Blessing and Thanksgiving activity of the brand new 1000 Gallon Hino Firetruck from the Bureau
of Fire Protection for the Antequera Fire Station was done on Aug. 18, 2023. Present in the event
were Board Member Aldner Damalerio (extreme left), Antequera Mayor Jose Mario J. Pahang
(standing at extreme right, holding a microphone) together with the Sangguniang Bayan members,
department heads, Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel. This activity is
part of the continuing BFP Modernization Program advocacy by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, DILG
and Fire Director Louie S. Puracan, CEO VI, chief BFP. One of the police statements during the
event said: “We extend our special thanks and appreciation to our Mayor Jose Mario J. Pahang for his
initiative and effort. In behalf of the Antequera Fire Station headed by SFO4 Eulalio Q. Gementiza,
under the supervision of Supt. Raul G Bustaliño, LLB, DPA, Provincial Fire Marshal, we are very
happy and thankful to have this one (1) unit Firetruck that will help boost the Fire Protection services
to the twenty-one (21) barangays that comprise this municipality.” Contributed photo
