DISTRIBUTION OF P2M WORTH OF MALINIS AT MASAGANANG KARAGATAN (MMK) 2021
PRIZES/AWARDS. Loon Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (inset, upper left corner) announces that
the prizes/awards of the Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK) 2021 were turned over by the
Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to the recipient coastal barangays of the
Municipality of Loon on August 25, 2023 at the Loon FITS Center. The prizes/awards include: 8 units
of payao; 50 units of 16 ftr. Fiberglass boats; 44 units of marine engine; 10 units of multiple handline;
one unit of trolling handline and one unit acquisition of self-contained underwater breathing apparatus
(scuba diving gear). In photo are the coastal punong barangays and/or their representatives with SB

agriculturist Janess D. Cantones (standing extreme left, front row). The Municipality of Loon was
adjudged as the regional winner (Region VII) in the nationwide search for MMK 2021 through the
efforts of the Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC) Cluster 2, Municipal Coastal Law
Enforcement Team (MCLET), headed by Mayor Relampagos, Bantay Dagat coastal law enforcers,
Loon PNP-PEDO and Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO). The MMK is a banner program of the
