Female drug suspect arrested in Tagbilaran City

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – A female drug suspect who was listed as the No.10 Regional Level Most Wanted Person was arrested by joint operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Station, CIDG Bohol PFU, RIU 7 Bohol and MARPSTA Bohol on Saturday evening, September 3, 2023.

The suspect, whose name was withheld for legal reasons, was nabbed at her residence in Zamora Street, Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City, Bohol around 6:30 PM.

She was served with two warrants of arrest for violation of Article II, Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The warrants were issued by Judge Jorge Dote Cabalit of the Regional Trial Court Branch 48 in Tagbilaran City on August 22, 2023.

The suspect was informed of the reason of her arrest and was apprised of her constitutional rights in a language known to her. The arrest was also video recorded using two body worn cameras in compliance with the Supreme Court guidelines.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Tagbilaran City Police Station for proper disposition and temporary detention. She is facing charges of selling and possessing illegal drugs, which are non-bailable and punishable by life imprisonment.
