A watchlist suspect was arrested in a drug bust operation conducted by the Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) on September 2, 2023.
The suspect, identified as a resident of Purok 1, Mayacabac Dauis, Bohol, was caught selling suspected shabu to an undercover police officer in Purok 7, CPG East Ave., Barangay Poblacion 3, Tagbilaran City around 12:26 AM.
The operation was led by PCPT Agosto Cesario L Sumaylo, the head of the TCPS Drug Enforcement Team (DET), under the supervision of PLTCOL Homobuno R Sayon, the chief of police.
The suspect was a watchlist or street level individual, meaning he was involved in illegal drug activities and monitored by the police.
The police seized from the suspect three grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of Php 20,400. The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the PNP Bohol Forensic Unit for examination and custody.
The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and brought to the TCPS for proper booking, documentation and filing of charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The anti-illegal drugs operation was witnessed by elected barangay officials of Poblacion 3, media representative and Department of Justice representative.
