IBP-BOHOL CHAPTER TO HOLD MANDATORY CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (MCLE) SEMINAR FOR THE 8TH COMPLIANCE PERIOD

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Bohol Chapter will hold a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Seminar for the Eighth (8th) Compliance Period on 27-28 October 2023 and 03-04 November 2023 at the Metro Centre Hotel and Convention Center. Every compliance period of three (3) years, lawyers are required to attend MCLE Seminar to be updated of the recent legal developments and jurisprudence on various fields of law. Currently, lawyers need to comply with the Eighth (8th) Compliance Period from April 15, 2022-April 14, 2025. The extension of the Seventh (7th) Compliance Period because of the pandemic did move succeeding compliance periods. Lawyers, including those who passed the 2020/21 Bar Examinations or dubbed as Leonen Bar Passers or Best Bar Ever Passers, will need to comply full 36 MCLE credit units. For those who passed the 2022 Bar Examinations or Caguioa Bar Passers, they need to comply 24 credit units broken down on the following subjects: Updates on Substantive and Procedural Laws (6 Units); MCLE Committee-Prescribed (4 Units); Legal Ethics (4 Units); Alternative Dispute Resolution (3 Units); Legal Writing and Oral Advocacy (3 Units); Trial and Pre-Trial Skills (3 Units); and International Law (1 Unit). Dubbed as Destination MCLE aimed to promote Bohol Tourism, the upcoming MCLE Seminar is open to non-members of IBP-Bohol Chapter.
