Tagbilaran City Traffic Enforcers attend refresher seminar to enhance skills 

To improve traffic management and ensure the safety of the public, the City Government of Tagbilaran conducted a comprehensive Traffic Enforcers Refresher Seminar on September 23 and 30, 2023 at Jj’s Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City. 

The seminar aimed to provide the city’s traffic enforcers with up-to-date knowledge and skills on road safety and controlling traffic flow. 

The activity featured expert speakers who discussed various aspects of traffic management. 

Traffic consultant retired Police Major Jesus Acullador talked about the challenges of traffic law enforcement. 

PEMS Celso Orapa of the Tagbilaran City Police Station shared insights on traffic directions and control. 

Retired Police Lieutenant Bartolome Udtohan, led a session on traffic accident investigations. 

This topic is important to ensure an accurate and unbiased assessment of road incidents. 

Mr. Valentino Gamutin, Executive Assistant of the City Mayor’s Office, discussed the highlights of Republic Act No. 9485, also known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007. 

The law aims to streamline government services and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap commended the dedication and hard work of city traffic enforcers.  

She reiterated her commitment to provide the necessary support and training to enhance the capacity of the city’s traffic management team. 

Another highlight of the activity was the ceremonial distribution of traffic vests and uniforms.

These uniforms not only provide a more professional appearance but also improve visibility for traffic controllers and safety while on duty. 

City Councilor Eliezer Borja, Chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Peace, Public Order and Security, also addressed the participants and distributed certificates of participation. 

Through initiatives such as this refresher seminar, the City Government of Tagbilaran is committed to enhancing the skills and knowledge of traffic enforcers, ultimately contributing to safer and more efficient roadways in the city.
