Town News-SAN MIGUEL

Good news from the town of San Miguel. An event called the CLOA Distribution of the
Beduya Estate in Bayongan, San Miguel, Bohol involving 246 titles to 172 Agrarian Reform
Beneficiaries with a total area of 217.3987 hectares took place on Oct. 2, 2023. On hand to
grace the occasion during the activity were Department of Agrarian (DAR) Assistant
Secretary Atty. Virgilio L. Mendez; San Miguel Mayor Ian Gil Garcia Mendez (inset, upper left
corner) with two members of his council; Provincial Agrarian Reform Adjudicators (PARAD)
Atty. Allan Amazona Lawman; Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office (DARPO)
Bohol officials headed by OIC PARPO II Ronald Inting Pumatong; acting Land Tenure
Improvement Division (LTID) Chief Engr. Leonard Cagampang; Municipal Agrarian Reform
Program Officer (MARPO) Agapito Pitdoi Pangandoyon; Department of Agrarian (DAR) Staff
from the Central, Regional and Provincial Offices; and Bayongan Barangay officials through
Punong Barangay Maximiano Dumanayos who welcomed all the guests and participants.
During the formal CLOA Distribution, a related live video coverage was shown to document
the respective messages expressing thanks and happiness, inspiring and remind the
obligations of the recipients to pay taxes and to make the land productive. It also included the
response, impression and expression of thanks of one of the awardees. MARPO Pete
Pangandoyon delivered the closing remarks. The mayor congratulated the new landowners.
