Congresswoman Ma. Vanessa Aumentado (in photo) announced on Oct. 13, 2023, the National
Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) presentation of the results and outputs of the policy
research “A Socioeconomic and Political Study to Support Policy Towards Transforming the
Municipality of Ubay, Bohol into a Science City”. This was done at Panda Tea Garden, Tagbilaran
City. During the occasion, Congresswoman Aumentado said: “Thank you Dr. Segundo Joaquin
Romero Jr of Ateneo de Manila University; NRCP Executive Director Dr. Bernardo Sepeda; Dr.
Geraldo Petilla- Chief Administrative Officer; FAD, ComSec Donald Amado Montes Caballero- House
Committee on Science and Tech; ComSec Sonny of Visayas Dev’t,; Mark Dioso Wind Bourjao of the
House Committee on Science and Tech.; all the Research Analysts; NRCP staff; and of course, ang
very supportive LGU Ubay headed by Mayor Costan Reyes, Capitan Costan, SB Members headed by
Vice Mayor Victor Bonghanoy, Administrator Atty. Golosino, Dept Heads, Private sectors, Gov Aris
