NOW SHOWING
Halloween films at
Screenville Cinemas

As the spooky season of Halloween is in full swing, two of this year’s
most terrifying horror films, “The Exorcist: Believer” and “The Nun 2”, are
shown back at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
The sixth installment in the film series, “The Exorcist: Believer” is a
direct sequel to the 1973 film about a 12-year-old girl possessed by a
mysterious demonic entity forcing her mother to seek the help of two priests
to save her. It is considered to be the best horror film ever made with 10
Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture — a first for a horror
movie.
A sequel to the 2018 hit gothic horror thriller, “The Nun 2” picks up
four years after the spine-tingling events of the first film, when Sister Irene
(Taissa Farmiga) returns to confront her worst nightmare, facing again the
malevolent entity Valak (Bonnie Aarons), a demon nun, this time in France
where a priest has recently been murdered. This sinister force returns to
haunt the innocent, and Sister Irene must summon every ounce of her
courage to face the darkness.
