Talibon PNP arrests drug suspect during buy-bust

TALIBON, BOHOL – A 48-year-old man was arrested by the Talibon PNP for allegedly selling and possessing illegal drugs in Barangay Cataban, Talibon, Bohol on Tuesday.

The suspect, identified as a resident of Barangay Nocnocan, Talibon, Bohol, was caught in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Talibon PNP intelligence operatives, led by Chief of Police, PCPT AMELITO M MELLORIA.

According to the police report, the suspect sold one small sachet of suspected shabu, weighing about 0.90 grams and worth Php6,120.00, to an undercover police officer. He was immediately arrested and searched, resulting in the recovery of two more sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money used in the transaction.

The suspect will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The Talibon PNP said that the successful operation was a result of their relentless dedication to eradicate drug-related activities in their area of responsibility, in close collaboration with the local community.
