Batuan Mayor Antonino Jumawid (8th from left) has announced that the Barangay Captains (Punong Barangay) and other members of the Municipal Development Council (MDC) of Batuan town welcomed the acquisition of a new grader that will take care of the roads in Batuan. The mayor said that in 2022, the Municipal Development Council (MDC) of Batuan agreed that the roads in the entiren town should be taken care of, hence its members prioritized the purchase of a grader. It was also approved by the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) under the leadership of Vice Mayor Zing Ancog Bulalaque who is also a member of the MDC. Members of the MDC are all barangay captains and representatives of people’s organizations. The new-branded grader is in addition to the equipment that will maintain the roads along with the brand new Komatsu backhoe that was also bought in the past years and two brand new dump trucks. All these equipment will definitely help clean, repair, maintain, and beautify the town’s roads. From zero (or no heavy equipment), the town now has two dump trucks, a backhoe and a grader, due to the joint planning of the barangay and municipal officials (MDC, LFC, SB). The barangay captains, who are concerned about their barangay roads, are among
those who are pushing for the roads to be taken care of. Thank God for the blessings. The
construction of pathways to villages will also continue (like cementing small paths). Priority is given to the areas where the deed of donation is complete for the project to be completed. Contributed photo
