BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Happy 85 th Birthday

Mrs. Flaviana Gonzaga-Cepedoza
and Thank You for your celebration of

life, through love!

The Cepedoza siblings love both their mother and
their late father (Florentino) with a love that knows
no bounds. Flaviana, their mother, is Mama Flavy
to them and they describe her as a lady with a
“perfect heart that is selfless, patient, kind,
generous, compassionate and always loving”. This
is the very reason that, on her 85 th birth
anniversary, they decided to carry on one of the
goals of the Florentino-FlavianaCepedoza
Foundation (FFCF) which is to foster the legacy of
their parents by giving back their love to the
community through a medical mission with the
local patients of Danao as their beneficiaries.
Held on November 5, 2023 at the  Santa Fe
Municipal Infirmary, Barangay Sta Fe, Danao,
Bohol, the whole day medical mission provided
free consultation, medical check up, surgery
(excision of mass on the head and body
extremities), OBGYN Ultrasound services (with Dr.
Apple Cepedoza bringing her own Ultrasound
machine), prenatal care and pap smear test.

Led by the Cepedoza siblings, the medical mission
was a product of the joint efforts of the LGU Danao
through the mayor, Engr. Jose “Joe” Cepedoza;
the Bohol Liga ng Barangay President, Dr. Romulo
Cepedoza; Danao number 1 Councilor Celeste
Cepedoza-Lerion, the Florentino-
FlavianaCepedoza Foundation (FFCF) and the
Rural Health Unit of Danao nurses, midwives,
barangay health workers, and personnel of the
Danao RHU and Infirmary.
The following kind hearts composed the medical
mission team: Dr. Bryan Cepedoza – Internal
Medicine/ pulmonologist; Dr. Florence Cepedoza-
Surgery/Oncologist; Dr. Apple Cepedoza – Ob-
Gynecologist; Dr. Lady Fontilla – Ob-gynecologist;
Dr Dhayan Davidson – OBGYN clerk;    Dr. Ezra
Edwin Bablu – OBGYN clerk;    Dr. Jaime Salarda;
Dr. Juno Sumatra; Dr.Bennes Tubal; Nurses,
Midwives, Barangay Health Workers Personnel of
the Danao RHU and Infirmary.
Approximately, the beneficiaries of the medical
mission who availed themselves of the free
medical services and supplies were: 30 Internal
Medical patients, 22 surgery patients, and 60
OBGYN patients.

Was the 85 year old birthday celebrator, Mama
Flavy, present during the medical mission? She
was in Danao, Bohol on her birthday but opted not
to attend the free clinic activity as she was
supervising the preparation of the ancestral home
at barangay Poblacion of the town for a luncheon
celebration with her grandkids and children.
Is this free medical clinic a yearly event? Well,
during our phone conversation with Atty. Glen
Hubahib and wife Inday Flor-Hubahib (a nurse)
who are now based in Hayward California, I
learned that this is the second year that the FFCF
sponsored the free clinic for Mama Flaviana’s
birthday. However, the foundation, in conjunction
with LGU Danao has been sponsoring the annual
Flaviana Medical and Dental mission in time for
the Danao Foundation Day every July as
spearheaded by Mayor Joe Cepedoza and Dr.
Bryan Cepedoza. The foundation has also been
sponsoring the Florentino Cup sportsfest for the
Barangay Magtangtang fiesta celebration every
last week of November since 2015 with Dr.
Florence Cepedoza and Dr. Romulo Cepedoza as
team leaders. Moreover, since the foundation has
also been into disaster assistance, it has provided
disaster relief activities for the victims of typhoon
Odette.

The officers of the Florentino-FlavianaCepedoza
Foundation include the following: Dr. Bryan
Cepedoza (Chairman); Dr. Florence Cepedoza
(Vice-Chairman); Ma. Florita Cepedoza-Abad
(Secretary); and Filomena Cepedoza (Treasurer).
The board members/advisers are: Maria Flor
CepedozaHubahib, Dr. Romulo Cepedoza, Mayor
Joe Cepedoza, Benecio Cepedoza, and Maria Fe
Cepedoza-Enriquez with Glen P. Hubahib, Esq. as
the Legal Adviser.
It is wonderful to know that successful people
share their blessings with others. As we wrote
before, success runs in the Cepedoza blood. To
prove my point, let us take a look at the siblings’
achievements.
 The eldest is Benecio (Benie). He graduated
from the Bachelor of Science in Commerce
course major in Accounting. He is married to
Zhen Vitor, a pharmacist and both are now
residing at Danao, Bohol.

Engineering & BS in Architecture graduate
with a Masters degree in Public

 The very popular Dr. Jesus Bryan (Bryan)
Cepedoza is the 9 th in the family. He is a
medical doctor and one of the top

that he topped medical examinations and has

remained humble in his traits and character.
He is a favorite of many. He is a columnist of
this paper, The Bohol Tribune, and presently,
he is the President of the Philippine College of
