Mga Kinhason Sa Kadagatan Sa Tagbilaran

Sayoranan sa Kalikopan (Environmental Forun) nga gipasiugdahan sa kapunongan nga
gihinganland og “Tagbilaran Bay-Watch – Tigmatyag sa Luok sa Tagbilaran”.
Nihatag og pakigpulong si Sunat (Bishop) Abet Uy sa Tagbilaran, ug uban pang mga
nasibot sa pag-alima sa luok sa Tagbilaran.
Ang mga mahinungdanong mamulong mao ang mga pantas or maalámdag (scientist) nga

Usa sa mga pantas (scientist) naghisgot nga daghang mga matang sa kinhason ang madaot
o mangamatay apil na ang mga gasang (corals) ug mga lusay (sea grasses) nga maoy iloganan og tuboánan sa mga nama (milt; seminal secretion) sa isdà ug mga kinhason.

  1. amahóng– A kind of sea mussel.
  2. amumúngpong – A kind of edible shellfish that is conical in shape. It lives in colonies.
  3. antuláng – Giant clam
  4. bakalán – A kind of edible shellfish.
  5. bagungón – Telescope shell.
  6. baliád – A kind of shellfish.
  7. balisahâ – A kind of shellfish.
  8. bantulî – A large shellfish
  9. bilawg – A bivalve shellfish bigger than a mussel.
  10. búdyong – Triton; a conch shell made into a hom or trumpet. Also, tambúli.
  11. bug-átan – Venus clam.
  12. bunkalís – A small shellfish with its mouth as long as the body
  13. bungkawíl – Dog conch; a kind of edible shellfish.
  14. butbutngagabán – A kind of poisonous shellfish.
  15. kahintóng – A kind of shell fish.
  16. kamwá – Kind of harp shellfish.
  17. kandíis – Lettered venus clam.
  18. kapínan – Abalone, a kind of shell fish.
  19. kapís – A kind of shell fish. Also, lampírong.
  20. katípan – A kind of cowry shell. It has a flattish shape, red-brownish color
  21. káykay – Kind of shell fish, thin and bi-valve with oval shape. Also, kalaykáy
  22. kíbol – Textile cone shell; volute shell.
  23. kudúskudós – A kind of shellfish that look like a cross
  24. kújà – A kind of shell fish. It is the most sought afler shellfish in Tagbilaran. Also, kúyà.
  25. dalin-ásan – A kind of shell fish.
  26. dalúdaló – Whclk; mud whelk.
  27. dapáwdapáw – A kind of shell fish. It is regularly white and of elegant figure.
  28. dáphag – A kind of shellfish. Also, dapág.
  29. gín-o- A kind of cowry shell. Diamond shaped, yellowish in color, with protrusion at the edges.
  30. habasán – A kind of seashell. It has conical shape.
  31. haláan – A kind of bivalve seashell.
  32. imbáw – Quahog; cherrystone; a kind of thick-shelled clam found in seashore marsh
  33. lagáng¹ – Chambered nautilus. A kind of seashell.
  34. lampárak – A kind of a flattish cowry shell about 1.5 cm long.
  35. lampírong – Capiz shell
  36. layagán – A kind of shellfish or snail. It has a sail-like appendage on its shell.
  37. lingalíngà – A kind of shellfish.
  38. líswi – Blood-mouthed conch; strawberry conch.
  39. lítob – Blood clam. A kind of marine bivalve
  40. lúmban – A kind of seashell. The disc-like cover of its hole will move sideward when soaked in vinegar placed in a plate.
  41. padpäd – A kind of large starfish.
  42. púkì – A kind of large, smooth cowry seashell.
  43. pundukpúndok – (b.p. púndok). Whelk. A kind of shellfish.
  44. saáng – Spider conch. It is a kind of shellfish.
  45. samóng – A kind of shellfish. Its shell is conical in shape.
  46. sangkâsangkâ – Murex. A kind of shellfish with long body.
  47. síhì – Periwinkle; a kind of shellfish. It is almost spherical in shape 2 cm in diameter.
  48. sulód-sulód – Kind of heart-shaped shellfish; heart shell.
  49. susô³– A kind of seashell. It lives in groups.
  50. suwákì – Sand dollar. A kind of sea urchin.
  51. tabugsók – A kind of large spider conch seashell.
  52. taklúbo – A relatively large bivalve shellfish. Also, takúbo.
  53. tagitít – A kind of small bi-valve shellfish. Also, kaykáy; punáw.
  54. tambáyang – A kind of shellfish. It is a bivalve with brownish color.
  55. tambúli – A kind of large conch shellfish; triton.
  56. tamilô – A kind of shellfish.
  57. tamíslat – Horseshoe clam; a kind of shellfish.
  58. tipáy – Mother-of-pearl; nacre. A kind of shellfish.
  59. turúngturóng – A kind of small seashell. It is conical in shape
  60. tuwáy – Oyster; a kind of bilvalve shellfish.
  61. tuyóm – A kind of sea urchin. It is black in color.
  62. wasáywasáy – A kind of shellfish. It is flat and thin and shaped like an ax.
