Lawyer and Boxing Promoter: Floriezyl Echavez Podot’s Double Success Floriezyl Echavez Podot, the head of PMI Bohol Boxing Stable and Promotions, has added another feather to his cap: he is now a lawyer, after passing the September 2023 Bar Exams as announced by the Supreme Court of the Philippines on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Podot, who is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is the brains behind the highly successful “Kumong Bol-anon” series that not only brought world-class entertainment to Boholano fight fans but also produced a slew of champion boxers and regional titleholders from the history-rich province of Bohol. Last November 4, 2023, PMI Boxing Stable and Promotions showcased the “Kumong Bol-anon XII” featuring the Boholano boxing fighter Regie “The Filipino Phenom” Suganob as the main event. Suganob outclassed his Venezuelan opponent Ronald Chacon, scoring a unanimous decision win that netted him the WBO Global Junior Flyweight Title. Suganob improved to 14 wins, 1 loss, and 4 knockouts. Once again, Atty. Podot and the PMI Boxing Stable and Promotions will showcase “Kumong Bol-anon XIII” on December 28, 2023 at Bohol Wisdom School Gym in Tagbilaran City. In the main event of PMI Boxing’s successful “Kumong Bol-anon” 13th installment, Jake Amparo (14-4-1, 3 KO’s) will trade leather with former world champion Pedro Taduran (15-4-1, 12 KO’s) in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimum weight eliminator. The winner of the fight will become the mandatory challenger of IBF minimum weight king Ginjiro Shigeoka. In the co-main event, Virgel Vitor (21-3, 14 KO’s) will face South Korean Tae Sun Kim (11-1-2, 8 KO’s) for the vacant WBO Oriental super featherweight crown.
