by Victor L. Tambis
The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) received a P3-million dividend from
Bohol Water Utilities, Inc. (BWUI) on December 13, 2023.
The dividend, which represents the 30 percent share of the PGBh from BWUI, was
handed over by BWUI General Manager Marnellie Bautista and other officers to
Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado at the Bohol Governor’s Office.
The dividend was approved during the BWUI board meeting on November 30, 2023.
BWUI is a joint venture between the PGBh and the Salcon Consortium under the
Public-Private Partnership program.
PGBh retains 30 percent ownership of the utility and is represented by two directors
in the BWUI Board: Atty. Doni Piquero and Dominic Butalid. They advocate for the
interests of the PGBh in the corporation and its operations.
BWUI and PGBh have a strong partnership that aims to achieve a common goal of
advancing the province.
They collaborate in providing quality service and maintaining good financial
performance that benefit both the water consumers and the entire province of Bohol.
The dividend from BWUI will help the PGBh fund its various projects.
