The provincial government of Bohol, led by Governor Aris Aumentado, witnessed the
ground breaking ceremony of Puregold Ubay, the first branch in the province from
the supermarket giant, Puregold Price Club Inc., on January 9, 2024.
The ceremony was streamed live on the Provincial Government of Bohol official
Facebook page, where hundreds of viewers tuned in to watch the historic event.
Puregold Ubay branch is located along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion,
Ubay, Bohol.
It is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024, and will offer a wide range of
products and services to cater to the needs of the local consumers and businesses.
The branch will also generate employment opportunities for the residents of Ubay
and nearby towns.
Governor Aumentado expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Puregold Price
Club Inc. for choosing Bohol as one of its expansion areas. He said the presence of
Puregold in the province will boost the local economy and provide more choices and
convenience to the Boholanos.
He assured the full support and cooperation of the provincial government to the
supermarket chain, as well as to other investors who are interested in doing
business in Bohol.
Puregold Price Club Inc. President Vincent Co thanked the provincial government
and the local government unit of Ubay for their warm welcome and assistance in
facilitating the establishment of the branch.

The ground breaking ceremony of Puregold Ubay was attended by other provincial
and local officials, as well as representatives from Puregold Price Club Inc. and its
partner contractors. The ceremony was also followed by a simple luncheon and a
press conference, where the guests answered questions from the media.
Puregold Ubay branch is the latest addition to the growing network of Puregold
stores nationwide, which currently stands at more than 400 branches.
