NOW SHOWING

“Argylle” at Screenville Cinemas

An author who writes espionage novels realizes that plot of the book she’s writing starts to mirror real world events in the spy action thriller, “Argylle”, now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

Spy novelist Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard-“Jurassic World” films) has just finished her fifth book about Aubrey Argylle, the title character of the eponymous Argylle series, when she’s attacked by some very real enemies while on a train ride. She is saved by an actual spy Aidan (Sam Rockwell) who explains to her that a devious organization has targeted her because the novels seemingly predict their future.

Elly races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between her fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

Aidan travels with Elly to England, hoping that her next chapter will reveal how to stop the global spy syndicate. What follows looks like one hell of an explosive adventure that is jampacked full of famous faces – an all star cast of Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, John Cena, and more.

“ARGYLLE” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

at Screenville

An American film inspired by Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel “Frankenstein” which stars our very own Filipino actress Liza Soberano in her Hollywood debut, “Lisa Frankenstein” will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, February 7, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

Set in 1989, an awkward 17-year-old girl named Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton) is trying to adjust to a new school and a new life after her mother’s death and her father’s hasty remarriage.

Despite the unwavering support by her plucky cheerleader stepsister Taffy (Soberano), Lisa only finds solace in the abandoned cemetery near her house, where she tends to the grave of a young man who died in 1837 — and whose corpse she unwittingly reanimates.

Feeling obligated to help the poor soul regain his humanity, Lisa embarks on a quest to breathe new life into her long-dead new companion. The romantic duo embarks on a murderous journey to find true love and happiness.
