Town News-BACLAYON

On Jan. 29, 2024, Emhe Apale wrote on FB that Baclayon congratulates its own elementary level athletes for having given pride to its district in the recently concluded CONGRESSIONAL MEET 2024 held in Catigbian District. Emhe said, “Our heartfelt gratitude: to the parents of our athletes for always supporting their children in every competition; to our Baclayon LGU headed by our very supportive mayor, Atty. Alvin Uy (inset, upper right corner), for providing transportation to our athletes (due to insufficient funds from host, based on headcount vis-a-vis location to venue); to DepEd Baclayon family headed by our PSDS mam Ma Rosanna Dablo, for always pushing our learners in their love for sports and never failing to look into the potentials that they all have. Keep the spirit! In every game, a disciplined player knows he/she has given his/her best…sometimes, he/she has to beat his/her own self to gain victory in a game. Believe in yourself and focus on the game.” Those recognized in the post were: Athletics Elementary Girls JIA TALADOC – (Qualified for Provincial Meet) 1st High Jump, 3rd Long Jump, 3rd 4x100m relay, 2nd 4x400m relay; *BAOBAO, ANNE KELLY – (Qualified for Provincial Meet) 2nd Long Jump,  2nd Triple Jump, 2nd 4x400m relay, 3rd 4x 100m relay; ESTAMPA, ALTHEA – 2nd 4x 400m relay, 3rd 4x 100m relay, 3rd 400 m. dash, 3rd 1500 m. run; CAFE, EVE FRANCINE – 4th 100m run, 3rd 200m run, 2nd 4x400m relay, 3rd 4x 100 m relay; Athletics Elem Boys MARK JOSEPH PALIJADO (Qualified for Provincial Meet) – 2nd high jump, 3rd long jump; REICHE RENZO CAUYONAN – 2nd ShotPut; MARK LARRY LAGADLAD – 4th – 400m run, 4th – 200m run.
