Tagbilaran City Government brings mobile services to Poblacion 3

The City Government of Tagbilaran, in order to strengthen the connection between the local government unit and its residents, brought essential services directly to the barangay with a mobile service initiative at Barangay Poblacion 3.

The outreach activity, conducted on February 2, 2024, exemplifies the city’s commitment to ensuring that vital services are accessible to residents at their doorsteps.

The initiative, led by Mayor Jane Yap and Vice Mayor Adam Jala, featured a spectrum of services aimed at promoting health, legal awareness, and overall community welfare.

The primary highlight of the day was the Mobile Health Clinic, where residents accessed a wide array of medical services, including general consultations, ultrasound tests, cardiac panels, ECGs, blood typing, X-rays, and complete blood counts (CBC).

The Mobile Dental Bus complemented this by providing dental consultations and dental extractions, ensuring comprehensive healthcare services.

Grooming and wellness also took center stage with free services for haircut and half-body massage, promoting physical and mental well-being among residents.

Simultaneously, the provision of free legal services, including consultations and assistance in drafting and notarizing simple documents, added a legal dimension to the community outreach.

The activity also catered to essential civil registration needs, enabling residents to avail themselves of delayed registration services of live births and petitions for corrections of clerical errors in registry documents.

The Mobile Services Team’s commitment to addressing diverse community needs was evident in the provision of a mobile kitchen, offering free snacks for all attendees.

Mayor Jane Yap, reflecting on this initiative, stated, “Our Mobile Services Team aims to touch every aspect of community life, ensuring that no resident is left without access to essential services. We are moving beyond conventional governance; it’s about fostering a holistic and inclusive approach to public service.”

Residents of Barangay Poblacion 3 led by Punong Barangay Felixberto Remolador and the barangay council warmly welcomed the initiative, appreciating the diverse range of services brought directly to their community.

The mobile services project will continue its rounds, visiting different puroks and barangays of Tagbilaran City, providing convenient access to various services to its residents.
