Governor Aumentado rewards Jagna for outstanding achievements in Solid Waste Management for the period 2021-2022 including Sand and Gravel Production. Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado (front row, 3rd from right), graced the municipality of Jagna on February 8, 2024 to personally present a check prize of ₱200,000 to commend Jagna for securing the 5th place in the Province of Bohol’s Best Practice for Solid Waste Management during the period of 2021-2022. Additionally, Gov. Aumentado bestowed a ₱180,000 check to acknowledge Jagna’s significant contribution to the Sand and Gravel production for the entire province. With the governor were distinguished guests, namely 3rd District Board Member Tita Baja, Nathaniel Binlod, and Greg Jala. Their presence added to the significance of the event, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the provincial government and its local constituents. The welcoming atmosphere resonated throughout the local government unit (LGU) of Jagna as Mayor Joseph Rañola (front row, 2nd from right), along with all municipal employees and barangay captains of Jagna, extended a warm reception to the governor and his delegation. The shared commitment to excellence in governance was evident as they collectively celebrated the accomplishments of Jagna. Highlighting the strides made in environmental sustainability, it was revealed that Jagna had acquired a state-of-the-art material recycling facility in the preceding year of 2023. Governor Aumentado took this opportunity to reassure the community that, with such advancements, Jagna stands poised to clinch the top spot in the upcoming Best Practice for Solid Waste Management awards in the following year. The governor expressed optimism for Jagna’s continued success, emphasizing that the newfound capabilities in waste management, coupled with ongoing initiatives, could propel the municipality to the forefront of exemplary practices.
