Mayor Rañola and Jagna Women’s Association leaders convene to discuss women’s month celebration and more. In a significant meeting held recently, the different presidents of the Jagna Women’s Association congregated with Mayor Joseph Rañola (in photo, facing the audience) to discuss the upcoming Women’s Month celebration in March. The Federated President reported to Mayor Rañola on her attendance at a provincial meeting last week, where several key issues were discussed. The agenda included a proposal on activities for Women’s Month at the provincial level, registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for Federated Registration, and a proposal for the Municipal Women’s Month celebration. In addition, the meeting served as a platform for reporting the various achievements, successes, and challenges faced by the association. In a move towards transparency and good governance, Mayor Rañola ordered an inventory on the status of the different Women’s Associations. The Mayor also took the opportunity to inform the group about their budget, funded by the Local Government Unit (LGU). With the assistance of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) officer Alma Acera, the group was encouraged to consider long-term and sustainable projects. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the associations and ensuring a greater impact on the community. These discussions mark a significant step towards empowering women in the region, and the upcoming Women’s Month celebration is eagerly anticipated as an opportunity to highlight and address the issues that matter most to the women of Jagna.
