Antequera Mayor Jose Mario Pahang (3rd from left) released the following information on March 14, 2024: “CFAG FIRE OLYMPICS 2024. In line with the month-long celebration of Fire Prevention Month 2024 with the theme: ‘Sa Pag-Iwas sa Sunog, Hind Ka Nag-iisa’, the Antequera Fire Station personnel thru the leadership of SFO3 Joelle P. Margate, PTRP, JD, Officer-in-Charge, under the supervision of Supt. Raul G. Bustaliño, JD, DPA Provincial Fire Marshal, conducted the Inter-Barangay Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) Fire Olympics 2024 where twenty-one (21) barangays competed and showcased their skills and teamwork. Taking part in this activity offered an invaluable opportunity to gain first hand insight into the challenges and complexities of firefighting and emergency response, fostering a deeper appreciation for the courage, skill, and dedication of firefighters while also imparting practical knowledge and lifesaving skills that can be applied in emergency situations.
