Mayor Fernando Estavilla of the town of President Carlos P. Garcia, also known as Pitogo, has assumed the role of President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Bohol Chapter.
This development follows the stepping down of Buenavista Mayor Dave Duallo from the same position, in accordance with their term-sharing agreement.
Prior to his presidency, Mayor Estavilla served as the Executive Vice-President of the league.
His assumption of the presidency became effective on February 29, 2024, when Mayor Duallo relinquished his post.
The oath of office for Mayor Estavilla was administered by Governor Aris Aumentado on March 17, 2024 at his residence.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Estavilla’s family and Second District Representative Maria Vanessa Aumentado.
In his remarks, Governor Aumentado congratulated Mayor Estavilla on his new role as the LMP Bohol Chapter President.
He highlighted Mayor Estavilla’s contributions to the progress and development of Bohol.
Furthermore, Gov. Aumentado expressed his support for Mayor Estavilla and the LMP-Bohol Chapter.
The town of President Carlos P. Garcia, a 4th class municipality, is recognized for its strong potential in tourism and agricultural development.
