The Bohol Light Company, Inc. (BLCI) presented a dividend check of P27 million to the Provincial Government of Bohol.

On Friday, May 3, 2024, the Bohol Light Company, Inc. (BLCI) presented a dividend check of P27 million to the Provincial Government of Bohol. The check was personally accepted by Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado at the Governor’s Office located within the Capitol Building. The photograph includes key individuals from both the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) and BLCI who attended the event. From right to left, they are: Argeo J. Melisimo and Norris C. Oculam, both board members of BLCI; Joven Tan-Uy, a senior board member of BLCI; Engr. Paulino G. Almedilla, the general manager of BLCI; Cecilia Dianne Digal – Paña, CPA, the finance and administrative manager of BLCI; Sheryl B. Paga, the regulatory compliance and public relations officer of BLCI; and Engr. Eleuterio C. Regis, the operations manager of BLCI. The dividend is a reflection of the Provincial Government’s 30% stake in BLCI. BLCI has consistently paid dividends to the province twice a year. However, during the pandemic, the payment frequency was reduced to once a year to maintain cash flows. The recently remitted P27 million represents the accumulated earnings during the pandemic period. (Photo credit: Contributor)
