“Abigail” at Screenville

Based on the 1936 universal classic monster film “Dracula’s Daughter” about the eponymous young daughter of Count Dracula, “Abigail” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

A group of criminals unknowingly kidnap and held hostage a 12-year old ballerina girl named Abigail (Alisha Weir-“Matilda: The Musical”), the daughter of a wealthy and powerful underworld figure from whom they demand a $50 million ransom.

As they retreat to an isolated mansion and watch over the seemingly harmless Abigail overnight, the captors soon get more than what they bargain for when they realize that they are trapped inside with no ordinary girl. None of them realize that she’s not trapped there with them, but they are trapped inside with her.

To their mounting horror, the kidnappers are forced to fight for their lives as the manor locks up and turns into a deadly fortress.
