Cong. Edgar M. Chatto congratulates Brgy. Boctol in Balilihan, Bohol for the turnover of the completed project of the Multi-Purpose Building. The project was implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways, which funding was facilitated by Cong. Chatto. The congressman, underscored the importance of the infrastructure that can serve as venue for barangay activities, other gatherings and even as an evacuation center. Cong. Cong. Edgar Chatto (top, right) presided on May 23, 2024, the special zoom meeting of the Technical Working Group on House Bill no. 7705 or “An Act Promoting A Low Carbon Economy, Establishing for this Purpose a Carbon Emission Pricing Framework and Trading System, and Implementation Mechanism to Achieve National Climate Targets “. Present in the discussions were Cong. Joeman Alba, Cong. Kiko Benitez, Congw. Anna Tuazon, Department of Finance team led by Usec. Alu Tiuseco, DENR group led by Usec. Ana Teh and House Climate Change Committee Staff under Committee Secretary Rommel Reyes. The bill, which Chatto principally authored, seeks to maximize the commercial sector’s contribution in reducing the greehouse gas emissions (GHG) and minimize the adverse effects of climate change by institutionalizing the Philippine Greehouse Gas Inventory Management and Reporting  System (PGHGIMRS).
