Ateneo swimming team
wows Bohol radio audience
(Part 2)
In our May 26, 2024 edition of TRENDING, we featured Rian Marco “Mico” Adiong Tirol – who, among others, is a great, skilled, accomplished swimmer, Philippine Record Holder in the field of swimming and Team Captain of the Ateneo de Manila Swimming Team, SY 2023-2024, Season 86 UAAP Champion (8th Peat), among others.
We reported that together with the members of the team, Mico and his younger brother, Victoriano Martin “Renzo” Tirol IV, acted as resource speakers of The Bohol Tribune radio program dubbed as “Open Forum” during their radio tour at RADIO dyTR AM station.
Yes, we call Mico and Renzo, as the TIROL BROTHERS (at the Ateneo) – the good looking, empowering, respectful, nurturing, intelligent and humble sons of an equally unassuming couple, Dr. Victoriano “Ryan” B. Tirol III and Dr. Maricel Adiong – Tirol.
Victoriano Martin “Renzo” Adiong Tirol IV
The couple champions and advocates the ideal husband and wife relationship, encouraging people to grow and excel first in their homes and eventually in their respective fields of endeavor to become good and honest citizens of the community with God as the Center of the relationship.
The radio program hosts, Ardy Araneta Batoy and Gloria Leodivica Araneta thought, all the while, that as the younger brother, Renzo would be leaning more on the strength and capabilities of Mico, both in swimming and in the academe including the radio guesting. But, of course, NOT! We realized that Renzo is a young man of his own caliber. He is a student of his own academic excellence. His wit and intelligence were deeply proven by his very good answers during the Q & A portion of the radio program. The question thrown to him was: Why are you nicknamed Renzo? The radio anchorpersons almost jumped from their seats when Renzo said, “Not even my mom knows the answer to that question.”
Who is Victoriano Martin “Renzo” Adiong Tirol IV?
Renzo just graduated (last Friday, May 31, 2024) as a Senior High School Student (Grade 12) from the Ateneo de Manila University for SY 2023-2024
He finished Junior High School in SY 2021-2022 with Honors, from the University of Bohol VDT-ALC.
He graduated from the Elementary level in SY 2017-2018, also with Honors, from the same school, the University of Bohol VDT-ALC
He does not envy his brother Mico and the latter’s swimming career. He wants to complement his brother’s success and this is one of the reasons he enrolled in the same school where his brother has made and is still making waves as an athlete and academic student.
Let us have a glimpse now of how Renzo has been faring in his life as a swimmer:

When you are as popular and as skilled as the Tirol Brothers, you might say it is difficult to have your feet on the ground and remain steadfast with your mantra of being kind, generous, responsible, and obedient. The Tirol Brothers have, up to this day, remained as simple as they are.
To God be the Glory.
