City Mayor Yap inspires graduates at Commencement Exercises

To personally congratulate the city graduates, Mayor Jane Yap attended and delivered an inspirational message at several commencement exercises in public elementary and high schools across Tagbilaran City.

During her speeches, Mayor Yap emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future and encouraged the graduates to pursue their dreams with determination and resilience.

In a significant gesture to reward academic excellence, Mayor Yap announced that a P3,000 cash incentive will be given to all the following students:
those with honors, high honors, and highest honors.

Awards were also given to the Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduates including those who deserved the Jane Yap Leadership Medals from all Tagbilaran City public schools.

This initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to recognizing and supporting the hard work and achievements of the city’s top students.

Mayor Yap also highlighted the role of family, teachers, and the community in supporting the students’ educational journey.

She expressed her gratitude to the parents and educators for their unwavering dedication and commitment to nurturing the city’s youth.

“The success of these graduates is a testament to your hard work and sacrifice. Together, we have created an environment where our children can thrive and achieve their full potential,” she said.

The commencement exercises were held at various schools throughout Tagbilaran City.

Graduates were recognized for their academic achievements, and many were inspired by Mayor Yap’s words to set goals for their future endeavors.

The City Government of Tagbilaran continues to prioritize educational programs and initiatives aimed at empowering the youth and providing them with the tools and opportunities needed for success.

Tagbilaran City conducts annual “Operation Tuli” Across Barangays

The City Government of Tagbilaran is once again conducting its annual “Operation Tuli,” offering free circumcision services to young boys across various barangays.

In its first week, “Operation Tuli” was successfully held in the barangays of Cogon, Cabawan, and Booy.

City Mayor Jane Yap personally visited these sites to support the patients, their families and the medical team.

The program saw a significant turnout, with many families availing themselves of the free services provided by the city government.

Mayor Yap expressed her support for the program, stating, “Operation Tuli is a vital health initiative that reflects our commitment to the well-being of our children. By providing these services for free, we are ensuring that every child has access to essential healthcare, regardless of their economic background.”

The program is being implemented by the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility (TCPCF) under the leadership of City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc, who has deployed medical teams to conduct the circumcision procedures.  

These dedicated teams work together to ensure that the circumcision procedures are carried out under hygienic and secure conditions, providing peace of mind to parents and guardians.

The “Operation Tuli” program will continue in the following barangays: Tiptip on June 11, Ubujan on June 17, Manga on June 20, San Isidro on June 21, Dao on June 25, Poblacion 2 on June 27, Poblacion 3 on July 2, Bool on July 4, Dampas on July 8, and Mansasa on July 11.

“Operation Tuli” is part of the broader efforts of the Tagbilaran City Government to enhance public health services and ensure the well-being of its residents.

The City Government of Tagbilaran, in collaboration with the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility (TCPCF), organizes the yearly Operation Tuli program across all fifteen barangays within the city.
