On June 5, 2024, Congressman Alexie B. Tutor of Bohol’s 3rd District, accompanied by the representatives of Senator Mark Villar’s political affairs team—Joyce Ann Alayan, Janizza Mae Biscante, and Emelito Euria—visited Jagna to distribute educational assistance to 1,337 individuals from the 3rd District of Bohol, including 67 individuals from Jagna held at Jagna Cultural Center. The team received a warm welcome from Mayor Joseph Rañola (in photo), who introduced them to the rich traditions of Jagna. The visitors experienced “Patunob”, witnessed the Sinoog Stokada at the Jagna Parish Church, and participated in the Sab-ong/Sabwag at the Mayor’s office. Mayor Rañola emphasized his commitment to restoring these traditions as a hallmark of the Jagnaanon people. The educational assistance program aims to support students and families by providing much-needed financial aid for educational expenses.
