Mansasa pusher yields P1-M shabu in buy-bust

A high-value individual (HVI) from Mansasa, Tagbilaran City was apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Panglao, Bohol.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Michael Inting Quieta, was found in possession of approximately ₱1,020,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The operation, led by PMaj. John Khalev Sanchez, Chief of Police, and the Drug Enforcement Unit, took place in Purok 4, Looc, Panglao, at approximately 11:59 PM on June 20.

Authorities seized a medium sachet containing the suspected shabu, along with ₱1,000 in marked money, 74 pieces of counterfeit ₱1,000 bills (boodle money), and a mobile phone.

Further search of the suspect’s possession revealed one medium and two large sachets of suspected shabu, a white cellophane pouch used for packaging, and a motorcycle.

The total weight of the confiscated shabu was approximately 150 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱1,020,000.

The suspect is currently detained at the Panglao Municipal Police Station, while evidence has been submitted to the Bohol Provincial Forensic Unit for examination and custody.

Authorities plan to charge the suspect with violations of Section 5 and 11, Article 2 of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Tattoo Artist Arrested

In an early morning operation on Thursday, authorities apprehended a tattoo artist allegedly involved in drug-related activities.

The suspect, identified as John Peter Nisnisan, 26, hails from barangay Mariveles, Dauis.

During an anti-illegal drug operation, law enforcement officers observed Nisnisan engaging in what they believe was the sale of shabu.

Two sachets of the suspected substance, weighing approximately 2.5 grams and valued at P17,000, were seized from him.

In addition to the alleged shabu, a revolver was confiscated from Nisnisan during the buy-bust operation.

Authorities are preparing charges against him for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of firearms.

ANOTHER HVI

A 42-year-old individual, identified as Glyndie Ruiz y Bitoy from Barangay Dao in the city, has been formally charged by the city prosecutor’s office.

The charges stem from violations of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

According to the chemistry report, the accused was found in possession of 0.04 grams of a controlled substance, which falls under section 5 (selling), and 4.12 grams for section 11 (possession).

Public Prosecutor Ariel Selma is handling the case against the accused.
