Tagbilaran City Police Station ranks number 1 in Central Visayas

The Tagbilaran City Police Station has been recognized as the top performer in the consolidated Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) for May 2024 on June 14, 2024, achieving an impressive overall rating of 91.12%.

This distinction places the station at the forefront among all Component City Police Stations in Central Visayas, under the jurisdiction of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7).

Under the leadership of Chief of Police PLtCol Homobuno Sayon, the Tagbilaran City Police Station has demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to maintaining peace and order in the community.

The UPER is a standardized evaluation tool used to assess the performance of all Philippine National Police (PNP) units across the country, ensuring that high standards of policing are met and sustained.

PLtCol Sayon expressed pride in his team’s accomplishment, stating, “This recognition is a testament to the hard work, commitment, and professionalism of the men and women of the Tagbilaran City Police Station. Our focus remains on providing excellent service and ensuring the safety and security of our community.”

City Mayor Jane Yap also praised the police station’s achievement, saying, “The Tagbilaran City Police Station’s outstanding performance is a source of pride for our city. Their dedication to duty and commitment to public safety are exemplary. This recognition also highlights the excellent leadership of PLtCol Sayon and the collective efforts of the entire police force. The UPER evaluates various aspects of police work, including crime prevention, law enforcement, and community engagement, among others.

The high rating reflects the effectiveness and efficiency of the Tagbilaran City Police Station in these areas.
