Aris, 11 others pledge support for Pres. BBM

Suspended Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado, along with 11 other prominent figures, recently expressed their unwavering support for the administration of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr.

The group signed a manifesto affirming their commitment to the Marcos administration’s vision for the nation.

In the manifesto, the signatories, representing the 1.3 million Boholanos, local governments, and leagues, pledged their solidarity with President Marcos Jr.

The Bagong Pilipinas vision, which emphasizes national honor, prosperity, inclusive development, and love of country, resonated strongly with them.

Aumentado, despite his current six-month preventive suspension related to the Chocolate Hills’ Captain’s Peak controversy, remains steadfast in his support for the President.

Aumentado claimed, “During the last presidential election, I mobilized my constituents to ensure President Marcos’s victory. His policies and programs have positively impacted our country, and I am committed to playing my part within my sphere of influence.”

The show of support occurred during President Marcos’s visit to Bohol on June 28, 2024.

On this occasion, the President distributed aid to those affected by the El Niño phenomenon in the agricultural and fisheries sectors, along with their families.

Among the other notable signatories were acting Governor Victor Balite, Bohol Representative Maria Vanessa Aumentado, Edgardo Chatto, and Kristine Alexie Tutor, Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap, Mayor Fernando Estavilla (president of the League of the Municipalities-Bohol Chapter), Board Member Romulo Cepedoza (president of the Liga ng mga Barangay-Bohol Chapter), Councilor Nicanor Besas (president of the Philippine Councilors League of the Philippines-Bohol Chapter), Board Member Lawrence Xavier Ancla, and Board Member Jiselle Rae Villamor.
